Deze investering, met een totale waarde van €3 miljoen, is mede mogelijk gemaakt door een investering van het moederbedrijf Myne Holding samen met Invest-NL.​\u003C\u002Fstrong>\u003C\u002Fp>\u003C\u002Fp>\u003Cp>\u003Cp>Met deze acquisitie investeert Myne Circular Plastics in haar positie op het gebied van duurzame technologieën en recyclingoplossingen. De technologie biedt een belangrijke basis voor de verdere ontwikkeling van hoogwaardige, mechanische recyclingmethoden, gericht op de efficiënte verwerking en het hergebruik van kunststoffen.​\u003C\u002Fp>\u003Cp>“De technologieën van Umincorp zijn een waardevolle toevoeging aan ons portfolio en sluiten perfect aan bij onze ambitie om een leidende speler te worden in circulaire grondstoffen,” aldus Martijn van de Poll van Myne. “Dankzij de samenwerking tussen Myne en Invest-NL kunnen we de technologische ontwikkeling versnellen en de opschaling van capaciteit in de komende jaren voorbereiden.”​\u003C\u002Fp>\u003Cp>\u003Cstrong>Investering in innovatie en duurzame groei\u003C\u002Fstrong>\u003C\u002Fp>\u003Cp>Myne, voorheen bekend als Reukema, heeft zich ontwikkeld tot een toonaangevend bedrijf op het gebied van circulaire producten en grondstoffen waaronder metalen. In september 2023 onderging het bedrijf een rebranding en veranderde het zijn naam naar Myne, die de strategische verschuiving van traditionele recycling naar een circulaire benadering illustreert. De focus van de onderneming ligt op het leveren van duurzaam, gerecycled metaal. Myne sorteert bijvoorbeeld metaalafval op legering met behulp van kunstmatige intelligentie en robottechnologie.​\u003C\u002Fp>\u003Cp>“Deze investering draagt bij aan de continuïteit van innovatieve recyclingtechnologie en biedt daarmee ook perspectief voor een toekomstbestendig verdienmodel,” aldus Emma den Held, investment manager bij Invest-NL.​\u003C\u002Fp>\u003Cp>De technologie kan op meerdere manieren worden ingezet. Dit zal in eerste instantie gebeuren op metaal\u002Fplastic combinaties.
