Caldic expands footprint in European brew ingredients market

Rotterdam, The Netherlands, September 6, 2022 - Caldic B.V. today announces the acquisition of Mr. Malt – P.A.B. S.r.l., the leading distributor of brew ingredients for the Italian market. The premium portfolio and value-add services from Mr. Malt will substantially strengthen Caldic’s offering for the brewing market and enable further expansion in southern Europe. 

Founded in 1996, P.A.B. S.r.l. markets a premium product portfolio of brew ingredients and accompanying equipment solutions under its brand, Mr. Malt®. Additionally the company provides training and tasting facilities for craft breweries, home brewers and retailers alike. For over 25 years P.A.B. S.r.l. has successfully developed an extensive portfolio of high-quality brew ingredients, and today, Mr. Malt is the leading brew ingredients distribution brand across the different brew market segments in Italy. 

Mr. Malt’s e-commerce platform provides customers not only with user friendly online purchasing services, but also presents an interactive forum that stimulates the exchange of best practices and experiences among brewers. To complement this platform, the training center in Pasian di Prato (Udine, Italy) offers a wide variety of topical seminars and customized trainings to help brewers to raise their formulation and processing competences.
