Cargors maakt met BigMile CO2 inzichtelijk voor mkb-verladers

Cargors, een transportnetwerk voor verladers in het midden- en kleinbedrijf, maakt bekend dat het BigMile gaat integreren. Voor gebruikers van de portal wordt het hierdoor direct inzichtelijk hoeveel CO2-uitstoot hun zending veroorzaakt. ‘Dit past perfect in onze missie om transport van goederen transparanter en duurzamer te maken’, zegt Najeeb Qazizada van Cargors.

Cargors brengt beschikbare transportcapaciteit van aangesloten vervoerders gedetailleerd in kaart en kan zo verladers met de meest geschikte vervoerder verbinden, met als resultaat dat beschikbare capaciteit beter wordt benut en vervoerders duurzamer kunnen rijden.

Transparantie en duurzaamheid

‘De Europese markt voor vrachtvervoer over de weg staat bekend om zijn lage transparantie en het hoge niveau van tussenhandel. Als gevolg hiervan rijdt meer dan 40 procent van de vervoerders in Europa leeg en hebben vervoerders extreem lage marges’, licht Najeeb Qazizada, CEO en medeoprichter van Cargors, toe. ‘Wij willen dit met onze portal veranderen. We fungeren niet als broker, maar als gateway. Bij ons bepaalt de vervoerder zijn prijs en de keuze ligt bij de verlader.’

Cargors is in zijn portal niet alleen transparant over prijzen, maar voegt daar nu dus ook informatie over CO2-uitstoot per zending aan toe. De verlader geeft de opdracht in en binnen enkele seconden geeft het systeem enkele alternatieven en kan een zending direct worden aangemaakt. De verwachte CO2-uitstoot wordt ook meteen weergegeven.

‘De meeste mkb-bedrijven vinden duurzaamheid belangrijk, maar hebben nog niet de faciliteiten hier inzicht in te krijgen en te geven. Nu normaliseren en standaardiseren wij het voor ze’, zegt Qazizada. ‘Daarnaast hebben we een overeenkomst met Trees for All. Elke zending die via onze gateway wordt verstuurd, draagt bij aan het planten van bomen. In de toekomst zullen hier meer projecten bij komen.’

Cargors works with BigMile to give SMEs visibility into carbon emissions

Cargors, a logistics transportation network for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), has announced that it is integrating the BigMile platform. This will enable users to see at a glance how much CO2 is caused by a shipment. “This fits perfectly with our mission to make road freight more transparent and sustainable,” says Najeeb Qazizada of Cargors.

By maintaining a detailed overview of the available transport capacity among affiliated carriers, Cargors is able to connect shippers with the most suitable carrier, resulting in better utilization of available capacity and more sustainable trip planning for carriers.

Transparency and sustainability

“The European road freight market is known for its high level of brokering and low transparency. As a result, more than 40% of carriers in Europe drive empty and carriers have extremely low margins,” explains Najeeb Qazizada, CEO and co-founder of Cargors. “We aim to change this with our portal. Rather than acting as a broker, we are a gateway. We enable each carrier to set their price, and the shipper makes the final choice.”

Besides providing price transparency, Cargors is now adding information about shipment-level carbon emissions to the portal. Within seconds of the shipper entering the order, the system suggests a number of options. The shipment can then be created and the predicted CO2 emissions are immediately shown.

“Most SMEs regard sustainability as important, but they don’t yet have the facilities to gain and provide visibility into their carbon emissions. We are now normalizing and standardizing that for them,” continues Qazizada. “Moreover, thanks to our partnership with Trees for All, every shipment handled through our gateway contributes to the planting of trees. We intend to add more projects in the future.”
